For the past couple years, my weeping cherry has produced flowers on only 2/3 of the branches. It leafs out just fine. It has seen some stress in the past. Is the tree on its way out, or is there something I can do to make it bloom better?

Hi Murph,
I don't know the answer to your question, but maybe these folks can help.

When weeding, the best way to make sure you are removing a weed and not a valuable plant is to pull on it. If it comes out of the ground easily, it is a valuable plant.
I had a landscaper take a look at it, and he declared the tree is not long for this world. He gave the trunk a wiggle, and said it moved more than it should. I'll keep it as long as it continues to leaf out well enough.Originally Posted by Newt
Sorry to hear that. It probably wasn't planted properly.
Thanks for letting me know.
