Mulberry Tree
I live in Michigan. This is the third summer we have been in our home. Just this week we noticed berries on the tree behind our home. I think I have figured out that it is a Mulberry tree. (I believe blackberries only grow on bushes?) The tree is about 15 feet high. Is it possible there was no fruit on it the past two summers? Do these trees exist on their own in woods/fields or is it more likely someone planted it? We had our home built, and the development has been there for about seven years. I'm not sure if I like this tree!
Thanks!

:?I have one also. I don't think I will like it either.. its small enough that I may get rid of it however I have heard the fruits are edible . There are*"silk worms" I think, as far as I can determine on the tree..they crawl up the walls of our small cottage and put cacoons on our doorways! I don't like that as my cottage will soon be my salon.**Yes , blackberries are on bushes here(*East Texas)*and I have some of those too. Mulberry fruit is just unknown to me as I don't know if they will be worth having the worms :P*near my salon! My Mulberry tree has little green soon to be berries on them now, I will get a pic later and post.
