Sick Maple Tree
Hi, First post here. I have been looking through internet sites for the past three hours and im finding nothing at this point. I have a sick Maple Tree here Its around 28 years old and every single leaf on the tree has little black things on them. Its unbelieveable. I dont know if over the winter this is going to kill my tree.
please help, The tree has a lot of sentimental value to me and mine and its really upsetting me not knowing what these growths are.
Revamp: Non holes, just large black bumps on all the leaves. :!:
Id apreaciate any information or sites that I could visit.

Thank you so much! Any more info? Is my tree alright? I asked my neighbor about her's and she said that hers has had it for the last two years.

Hello Sutashii,
I'm glad to help - I should have posted the page with the info. on it that had the picture :) Here it is: http://plantclinic.cornell.edu/FactS...t/tarspots.htm
I would take this info. and ask your local extension service or nursery about management strategies for your area but I agree with the brochure in that if your neighborhood has it, it's hard (And may be a waste of $) to control by spray.
Thanks for asking!
Katy
