    last year i bought a 5 ft. smoke tree.* real nice tree, this year so far no leaves, or even signs of life except for some leaves at the trunk.* is it a gonner?* i live in north east PA

    Hi Rick,

    It doesn't sound good.* You don't give any info on how you planted it, was it rootbound, how deep did you plant, sun conditions, watering after planting, did you mulch and how, etc.* If you still have your receipt you should be able to get a replacement.* If you need sites on how to plant, mulch and water a new tree just lmk.

    When weeding, the best way to make sure you are removing a weed and not a valuable plant is to pull on it. If it comes out of the ground easily, it is a valuable plant.

    It was properly done.* I have a three year guarantee from the* grower.
