tree help
I bought a new home in the country last spring, and have been having a great time planting flowers, shrubs, trees, etc. I planted half a dozen aspen trees that seem to be thriving, but someone recently told me I shouldn't have done that because my water is very alkaline and it will eventually kill the trees. Is this true? And if it is, is there anything I can do to counteract the effects of the alkaline water? Well water is currently my only water source. I buy drinking water, but have no way to haul the vast amount of water that it would take to water all the vegetation. And while I'm on the subject, I also planted a red maple, 3 plum trees, 2 crab apples and 2 cottonwoods. Will my water negatively affect any of these?
