How long should I maintain the Watering Basins around trees? I have a 3 year old oak and 3 year old Pine. Is the Watering Basin good for the tree in the long term?

I noticed you posted this a time ago but I'll put in my 2 cents if I may
I only maintain the basins for one year per inch of tree trunk planted. Three inch trunk three years, better to be safe than sorry. But I might add if you are in a wet climate you can cut that back.
