    DRAGON'S BLOOD TREE

i have a dragon's blood tree little baby and the other one died already... they're very tropical and I'm in pa which isn't tropical at all! i had them growing in my attic this summer... i moved them downstairs and one died... the other one is nice sized but i noticed it's starting to grow mold on the soil around it and i think it's because it's used to being hot and it's not as hot so the water isn't being soaked up by the plant... should i change the soil??? how can i keep it from dieing i already lost one...

if it has mold growing on it you're definitely giving it too much water.
Let it dry out some, and water less.

"Requiring excellent drainage and being suseptible to frost damage, its placement in gardens is restrictive. Container grown seedlings are very successful, but these will not attain the true character of the multi-branched crown without being planted in the ground and with the addition of significant time."

When weeding, the best way to make sure you are removing a weed and not a valuable plant is to pull on it. If it comes out of the ground easily, it is a valuable plant.

    Can I post Images?
Images can indeed be shown in your posts. However, there is no facility at present for uploading images directly to this board. Therefore you must link to an image stored on a publicly accessible web server, e.g. http://www.some-unknown-place.net/my-picture.gif. You cannot link to pictures stored on your own PC (unless it is a publicly accessible server) nor to images stored behind authentication mechanisms such as Hotmail or Yahoo mailboxes, password-protected sites, etc. To display the image use either the BBCode [img] tag or appropriate HTML (if allowed).

    Lori,
Basically what that says is that you can't post pics that are stored on your computer. You would need to have them stored at someplace like photobucket.
