    Here you go.

You could also do a google search with their botanical name for more info.

When weeding, the best way to make sure you are removing a weed and not a valuable plant is to pull on it. If it comes out of the ground easily, it is a valuable plant.

a kumquat is a citrus fruit. It looks like a small size tangerine but is very sour.
I believe you can eat it with the skin on.
Care ought to be very much like other citrus.

    Hi Lori,
You could always click on the links I supplied to Big Mac and then you would know what they are. Lots of helpful info there. :)

I have a kumquat tree growing I bought for valentines day last year.It has 2 fruit.it had 3 others but the frost got them cause I had not noticed them to cover them.
You didn't give alot of info.
How are your growing them? in ground or container?
    what lighting do they good?
    fertilizeing?
    watering?

Mine grow in full sun amended organic soil& I keep it watered well& when we have hot spells will spray the leaves& entire plant.I fertilize it alot as it grows near my brugmansias& A rose bush grows behind it also. you don't say who you're replying to.

I didn't look up the links Newt gave, but the care is like for
other citrus. I'm no good at growing citrus (the weeds grow too
fast where we live, and citrus is no good at outcompeting even
grass), and I don't have a kumquat. If I did it would be in ground
and most likely in more or less full sun - it's kinda hard to avoid
in the tropics where the sun is right overhead certain times of year.

Gee sorry to have just joined cuz my tree grows in a pot. It stays outdorrs until the first freeze and then lives in my kitchen until spring. They love water. Despite being only about three feet tall mine currently is loaded with fruit and they are yummy!!

just to add a bit more.... I fertilize all my plants, both flowering and non when outdoors with the Miracle Grow fertilizer gun...attaches to hose and mixes within. I use every day as I live in the south and water twice a day. Once with fert and once without. The blossoms on this tree have an amazing fragrance most apparent when the sun goes down. Plan to have a kumquat tini party this week as mine are almost ripe on the tree.
