    [align=left]i came to know about the Osmanthus Fragrans shrub while i was in Hangzhou and i love its apricot-peach sweet scent so much. have been on a lookoutfor osmanthus scented products ever since! now sipping osmanthus tea as i am typing![/align]

    [align=left]can i plant this plant in warm-humid climate in Malaysia?[/align]

    Hi Etherealwings,

    Osmanthus fragrans aka tea olive is native to China, Japan and the Himalayas and should be ok in Malaysia.* It can tolerate moist conditions but should have good drainage and would probably do better if you don't live in an area of severe monsoons.

    When weeding, the best way to make sure you are removing a weed and not a valuable plant is to pull on it. If it comes out of the ground easily, it is a valuable plant.
