What you are referring to is called manure tea, which can be helpful in controlling diesases and fungus problems, especially if it's made with added microbes.* I would think there might be some concern about eating raw veggies to which chicken manure tea (made from chicken manure that has NOT been aged) has been used, due to potential pathogens.* I think you should compost the manure first if it hasn't been already.* I think you'll find this helpful in making manure tea.* At this first site it says to use composted manure.

You can also make compost tea* This site for the Soil Foodweb is great with loads of info you might want to read.* Scroll up and look to the left for info on soil.

When weeding, the best way to make sure you are removing a weed and not a valuable plant is to pull on it. If it comes out of the ground easily, it is a valuable plant.

You are so very welcome! I too would like the twins to make it to their next birthday! I'm so glad you asked that question and I was able to help.
