I live in waco,tx ( central tx) where the soil is dark and the temperatures are rising. I have had another good vegetable garden of tomatoes, onions, okra, squash and cale. my question is, when do I plant certain greens ( cale, spinach, brussel sprouts) for the fall growing season?* thx for any help on the time.

    Hi Bigcat,

I did some searching at the Texas Extension service site and found this list of when to plant.
    http://aggie-horticulture.tamu.edu/e...e/hmguide1.htm

I also found this.* You can click on the bottom for first and last expected frost dates for your area.

When you look for kale, check it under 'K' and not 'C'.

    Enjoy your veggies.* :)

When weeding, the best way to make sure you are removing a weed and not a valuable plant is to pull on it. If it comes out of the ground easily, it is a valuable plant.
