This is the first time that I am growing zucchini, although my mom has grown it many times. I have two large buckets 30" in diameter and 24" deep with zucchini growing in each. The plants started off great, the leaves were about 10 inches wide. There are many flowers and a few starting to bear fruit. Within the last few days the leaves have turned brown, starting with the oldest leaves first. The stems look great still, but the leaves are brown and curling... the only thing left green on the leaves are the main veins of the leaves, and a very small raidius around them. The new leaves are still looking green, like I said it is the biggest and oldest leaves effected first. I have kept the plants watered. I am wondering if they are too watered, if it could be a pest or a disease of some sort, or if anyone has a suggestion as to what to do. The mix that I used for planting was a combination of miracle grow potting mix and miracle grow soil - for vegetables. They supposedly have a time release fertilizer for 3 months. I planted in May, and I havent added any fertilizer - since it was supposed to be provided. Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated! I can add a picture if that would be helpfull. I have spent a good deal of time reading about the symptoms online but it "seems" like it could be several different things and I hate to go and buy and add all sorts of different concoctions to my plants on a whim. Thanks again!
