Just wanted to say hey all, and ask a quick question. I just planted my first garden. I bought pre started plants and some seeds. The pre started plants are: different variety of tomatoes, hot cherry pepers, & green bell pepers. The seeds are carrots. My question is this, what kind of fertilizer should I be using. Also any tip on growing would be great.

    Thank you

There are so many unknows about your soil and where you live it's hard for us to assist you.

    What zone are you?

Has you soil every been tilled?

Carrot seeds need well tilled soil.* It never hurts to intermix orgainc material from your compost to improve your soil.** You could also* do a quick planting by digging a hole and intermixing some type of organic material within the soil. Then you can plant your tomatoes.

I perfer to have my carrot seeds germinate in a well tilled garden.*

I have just used compost and had no problems with my soil. I beleive enough compost can ammend any soil. though I could be wrong. To be on the safe side you could put somthing down to seperate rich and poor soils. Also always use organic everything!!!
