Thread: Over Watering

1. #1
I made the mistake of accidently leaving my garden sprinkler on all night (about 8 hours).* My soil has decent drainage but not good enough for this amount of water.* Most of my plants are not under water but you can imaging the soil is completely saturated.* Plus there are some good sized pools of water.
Do you think I am going to be OK or is my garden ruined?* It was quite dry when I started so I'm hoping I'm OK.* I'm in MN and the garden has been in for a week.* I have starter plants of tomato, green pepper, hot pepper, and onion.* I have seeds of carrot, beets, lettuce, peas, beans, cucumber, and zucchini.
Any thoughts from anybody?

The water will drain and we will all wait an see what will happen to your garden.* If there wasn't to much water movement, I would say your planted seeds would still be in place.* The surface sowed seeds will float to a new location.

Gardening is all about learning from mistakes.*

It s been a few hours and my standing water is pretty much gone.* It's windy today so that will help evap some of the water.* I'm crossing my fingers.
