Ok, my squash has started making fruit but when it gets to sbout 3" long it appears to be rotting on the vine with the flower still attached.

    What can I do?

    Thanks,

Gerry, you can pretend you are a bee and become the matchmaker for your squash.* :dude:* What you see happening is due to poor pollination.* Take a look here.

When weeding, the best way to make sure you are removing a weed and not a valuable plant is to pull on it. If it comes out of the ground easily, it is a valuable plant.

Also several threads within the forums address this. Look in pumpkin or do a search.*

Bottom line... pollenate by hand or by a few mason bee homes for next year.
