Thread: Sweet potaos

  1. #1
I'm not sure where to post this so I guess i'll just post here.

I plant regular potatos in hay and they do quite well.*

I'm wondering if I can plant sweet potatos in hay also?

    Anyone ever tried it?

Never tried it, but* I've also never heard about planting Potatos in Hay.* I would say, give it a try and keep it moist.

Give it a try. You'll like it.

No digging and the potatos come out clean.

Just take a couple of small bales of hay or straw. Tear them apart and make a pile of loose hay. Wet it down very well. Put your seed potatos 2/3 down in the pile*(pile will settle)and keep it moist.

My cousin plants his in a stack of old tires.

    Good luck
