zucchini
My zucchini plant is large and producing well. However, when the zucchini reach about 6 inches they turn yellow. I am a novice gardener and have never had this happen before. Any ideas?

There are a some possibilities:
- you could have a variety of zucchini that does that. I have seen yellow
zucchini before. Do they only turn color or do they also fall of or start
rotting?
- they could be cross-pollinated by another cucurbite in the area and
not set fruit properly
I don't grow zucchini because around here the fruit flies would get them
before we do, but I grow kabocha. Some of mine stay smaller than
others, some stay green and some turn orange. They all originated
from the same kabocha that a friend gave me and of which I planted
the seeds.
Hope this helps,
Maren
