    Alpinia Zerumbet

I live in Mt. Pleasant, SC, the Low Country. I'd like to get some Alpinia as you describe 'em in your posting. I've got an area, shaded but bright, of about 10' x 6' that i'd like to plant, and think the box 'o rhizomes as you describe them would be perfect. I'm in zone 8, and think that it'd be an odd year where we didn't have a frost to knock them back, so I don't think I'd ever get blooms. But, since I want them more for the color of the foliage, and wouldn't necessarily want them to grow 6'-10' tall, that's alright with me. Please tell me how I go about ordering them from you. Oh, and one more thing, the zerumbet I want is the variegated one. Not the thin striped one. I hope that's what you have.

My direct e-mail address is toboro @ bell south. net (remove spaces), and I am an e-mail junkie, so I'll get your reply their soonest. Thanks,

    Tony Borowiecki
