crowded container

I am brand new to bulbs and I overcrowded a container with an assortment of bulbs which are now sprouting 2-4 inches above the soil.* Now that I have done my research too late, I really overdid the pot.* Is it ok to gently move the bulbs into a larger container or separate some altogether at this point? Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated. tx.

Hi Green,

You don't really give enough info here about which bulbs and just how they are overcrowded.* I have found that planting them shoulder to shoulder is just fine and planting in layers is ok too.

It would probably be ok to separate them if you have the soil moist and not wet when you do this and don't forget to be extra attentive to moisture afterwards.
