    perennials bare root

Just planted bare root perennials in planter boxes. Was unaware that I was geting shipped bare roots. The boxes are really not deep enough for bare root planting, any hope of these taking off...and if so roughly how long does it take for perennials to break ground in zone 6?

    Hi Jasper,

You do realize that they won't bloom for another year. It could take a couple of weeks or more before you see any growth. What plants are we talking about?

When weeding, the best way to make sure you are removing a weed and not a valuable plant is to pull on it. If it comes out of the ground easily, it is a valuable plant.
