sad bougainvillea

Hi again I seem to be having many problems with my container garden on my roof here in Spain my bougainvillea,s are struggling to grow and have very tiny leaves they were planted last year but seemed to struggle all summer I am very new to hot weather****** gardening as we came from wet and windy U.K* would love some advice please****** Morinja Jane*****

Hi Morinja,

If the leaves are small I think your plant is rootbound and needs a larger container.* They don't like harsh wind so that could be part of the problem.* Here's some growing info that might be helpful.

hi again Newt* great my bougainvillea is in a very large pot so i have put some new top compost in and chopped it back quite a lotand looking at it this morning some tiny leaves have not shriveled so i hope i can save it we do get a lot of wind blowing down our sun roof but i have been heavy on watering* so will stop now* thank yiu for your help* morinja:)
