Strawberries...

Has anyone ever grown strawberries in hanging containers and/or bags? Any tips/advice? I have never grown them this way and recently moved to the SE, Zone 7. Can they still be a perennial if planted this way?

i have grown strawberries in pots. the fruit is small but with proper care it will bloom year after year if u take good care of it and watch the shoots that pop out in october. if u want ur patch to grow make sure these are properly planted and cared for. the plant is meant to be in the ground were it can grow. pot strawberries should be only used when transplanting or moving them. if u use a big enough pot, it shouldn't be a problem, but they will still be small. remember to fertilize at least one a year
