We are building a wildlife pond, quite large with a small waterfall.* We have purchased an oase pump and bio filter.* I wonder if anyone has any ideas for disguising the box which has to sit above ground. The outlet is 4" from the bottom which means 14" of black plastic out of the ground.* Help.:(

    Hi Heatherc,

Consider one of the fiberglass fake boulders to place over it.* You might even be able to make one.

When weeding, the best way to make sure you are removing a weed and not a valuable plant is to pull on it. If it comes out of the ground easily, it is a valuable plant.

Hobby shops have rock moulds they use for train sets. You could make it so it was encased in it.

Some people build a cedar box over them as a plant stand for a pot of perennials or other flowers.

Pressurized bio filters have an inbuilt back flushing system which makes it easier for the fishes to be in that pond.
