Hi Tyexpo,
The best time to plant fruit trees in the north is in spring.* In the south the best time is in fall.* Here in the Mid-Atlantic we fall in the middle.* Since it's already getting cold at night, with frost expected the next few nights, I'd say to wait until spring unless you are an experienced gardener.* Mid-September to the first two weeks in October is a good time to plant fruit trees in our area. http://www.associatedcontent.com/art...ee.html?cat=32 More info on planting apples and peach trees.* This site is in Pennsylvania. http://ssfruit.cas.psu.edu/PomeFruits.htm http://ssfruit.cas.psu.edu/StoneFruit.htm If you need sites on how to plant, prune, mulch and water, just lmk.
