A couple of my plants (sungolds/ yellow pear) have developed a yellowing of the leaves and stems of some of the lower branches, I've been trimming them away, but it seems to keep going, is there a way to salvage these?
I've heard of soap sprays as a somewhat organic way to control this. Anybody got any experience with this, or have another way of controlling it?

Hi Green Purple,

Soap solution sprays are best for insect pests.* I've not heard of this for diseases.*

Are these plants grown in pots or in the ground?* Any other symptoms like leaf spots, wilting or streaking on the stems?* Any spots on the fruit?* If not I would suspect salt damage.* Do you use synthetic fertilizer and use it often?

Verticillium wilt could be another possibility.

When weeding, the best way to make sure you are removing a weed and not a valuable plant is to pull on it. If it comes out of the ground easily, it is a valuable plant.
