There is something growing on two of my tomato plants that look like white fungus.* I noticed it while I was watering them this morning.** It is at the* base of the* plant almost at soil level.* Now the plants are wilting.* Does anyone know what this is and how I can help my plants?*

Might be southern blight aka southern stem blight.* Does it look like this?

If so, here's what you should know.

When weeding, the best way to make sure you are removing a weed and not a valuable plant is to pull on it. If it comes out of the ground easily, it is a valuable plant.
