Hey guys I planted transplants last weekend and the bottoms leaves are turning yellow and very wilted. SOme of the plats the whole plant is starting to wilt.

whaht do you think the problem is? and what can i do to prevent this from killing my plants?

I was researching "water wilt" and it says that occurs when there is a lot of rain. I heavily watered the last weekend (after planting) and then like wednesday of this week. The ground is not saturated (no puddles of water or anything) but the ground is very moist (but not muddy).

I would expect the lower leaves to yellow after transplant, so don't be too concerned about that. Remove them when they start to yellow as they will never turn green. I'm thinking you may have overwatered so try to only water once a week if you don't get any rain. Poke your finger into the ground up to the second knuckle. If the ground is moist, don't water.

When weeding, the best way to make sure you are removing a weed and not a valuable plant is to pull on it. If it comes out of the ground easily, it is a valuable plant.

When I transplant mine they do the same thing. I water the daylights out of them and keep them a little bit better than moist for a whole week. Then after the first week I water heavily once a week in the evening, that way they have all night to get all the water they need. I have found the roots go down deeper then if you constantly water them...
    Hope that helps to....
