Would pruning be a good idea for my azalea? I ask only do to my younger dog chewing up one of my red raspberrys last summer. She chewed all the leaves and branches off. Later that summer, it came back with deeper green leaves. Not that I want her to chew up my plants, but if it would help.
I checked my plants roots. Definitely needs help there. I have to find some pear moss or mulch to add to my miracle gro soil and a bigger pot. Will have to wait a couple more days-unfortunately.
Am finding out what plants I can grow and what ones I should leave alone. I do really well with viney plants. I do very well with grass as well. Seems I can't find a hobby that doesn't break my bank. LOL

Hi Lucky Lady,

Sorry to hear about your puppy's food preferences!*
That kind of 'pruning' is helpful to some plants and not others.* Here's how to prune an azalea.

Is your azalea in a pot or in the ground? Not sure what you mean by the roots needing help.* Is it rootbound in a pot?* If it's in the ground are the roots showing on the surface of the soil?* I'm confused.* It sounds like your azalea is in a pot and needs to be repotted.** Are you asking for help on how to do that?* Here's lots of info on azaleas.

When weeding, the best way to make sure you are removing a weed and not a valuable plant is to pull on it. If it comes out of the ground easily, it is a valuable plant.
