bananas tree

I'm wanting to get about 6 banana trees to go around my new pond that im going to put in this fall. my question is am i going to have to take the banana trees up every fall?* my zone is 7-8 (arkansas).

Hi Chris,

I think if you select carefully you will find some varieties that are hardy in zones 7 and 8.* I have a friend who leaves hers in the ground and she's in zone 7, just north of Washington, D.C.* Of course she doesn't get bananas, but the trees return every year.
