    :(My wife and I live in Germany and she has just gotten started in gardening. She is doing quite well, but we have a problem with slugs and earwigs. How can we control these pests without harming any plants or animals?

    When weeding, the best way to make sure you are removing a weed and not a valuable plant is to pull on it. If it comes out of the ground easily, it is a valuable plant.
