I like Newt's response, but I would do a quick dry and use the fertilizer.

If I understand you dampness.. just throw it on a blue trap and let it sit until dry.** Rake it a little and is should dry up.*

Lee, if you've ever seen the blue tarps on the roofs of houses struck by hurricanes, that's what you see.* It's a very large plastic-like material, sort of like a huge shower curtain and tarp is the short name for tarpaulin.* You could even use an old shower curtain or vinyl table cloth.* Just something where the weave is tight and will shed water.
