Thread: Favorite Roses

My favorite rose is called Teasing Georgia and I purchased it from Jackson and Perkins.* It is an English rose, it has a light but fabulouse scent. It is a yellow to sometimes pale peach rose, but most of the time it is yellow.* Not sure why there are times when the roses open into a peach color.* By the age of 3, this rose grew over 5 feet tall and about 6 feet wide.* It was gorgeous.* Here is a picture of it in it's 3rd year at the beginning of summer.*

We actually moved in the fall of 2004, but the people who bought my home, let me come back 2 years later and dig up my roses, this being one of them.* It seems to doing okay at our new home, although certainly not like it did at my old house....hopefully next summer, it will take off as it did before.*

    Hi Wildflowers,

Your 'Teasing Georgia' is lovely.* It changes color as it ages and is a David Austin Rose.* You should find this interesting.

Glad you were able to get them from your former home.

When weeding, the best way to make sure you are removing a weed and not a valuable plant is to pull on it. If it comes out of the ground easily, it is a valuable plant.
