    I planted the vines about one week before a freeze that lasted 4 or 5 days. I covered the vines with bags. However, the new growth did not make it.*I put about 3 inches of mulch on around the plants. Do you think they are dead? I have never had grapes so I am pretty clueless. Anyone have any advice???

    Hi Slope,

    I get these grapes as hardy to zone 5 so they should be ok.* They will probably sprout again when the soil warms.

    When weeding, the best way to make sure you are removing a weed and not a valuable plant is to pull on it. If it comes out of the ground easily, it is a valuable plant.
