I just bought a new house and there is an old metal flag pole painted white in the front yard which may get full to partial sun as there are some trees nearby. I thought it might be nice to, instead of running up a flag, run a climbing vine up instead. I'm not too familiar with vines, but I realize that they climb in different ways, some not suitable for this, but does anyone here know of a flowering vine that might actually climb up the flag pole with no other support and do well. I am in zone 5. Thank you.
