Red face Beautiful plant but what is it??

I'm needing help to identify a plant that I transplanted last summer. I don't have a picture but will try and describe it the best I can. It has vined out 3-4 ft all over my flower bed. Beautiful green leaves with a gorgeous very violet colored flower that is upside down like a fuschia but very tiny and has a very yellow center. Anybody have any idea as to what it might be??? When I dug it up last summer it was only about 12X12 but it now about 3ft X 6 ft. A very fast grower. It has been a very mild summer so far for NY state with a little rain here and there but this plant has very flourished. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Hi Jojo,

You say you transplanted it, but you don't say if you purchased this plant or dug it from the wild or it appeared in your garden. I'm thinking if it just appeared and you dug it up and transplanted it, maybe it's Solanum dulcamara aka bittersweet nightshade.

When weeding, the best way to make sure you are removing a weed and not a valuable plant is to pull on it. If it comes out of the ground easily, it is a valuable plant.
