Can anyone please provide the botanical name of this plant? It has a local name which does not help me in knowing how to care for it. The only information I have is that it is cultivated in medium altitude, where camelias and hortansias are thriving and it is a climbing plant.

Hmmm!
Not sure what it is.
Is it a climbing plant? Does it have tendrils to grip on or does it twist round the stake?
It looks like a straightforward plant, that is grows tall and needs supporting to stop it flopping over.
I would love a clear pic of a single flower as I cannot qiute see enough detail from your pic. ( Please add to this thread)
What is the local name? Where in the world are you, as this makes a difference to what plants are grown?
