Can you help identify this plant?
Good Morning,
We found a red tubular root when we moved some Azaleas and I threw it over the fence. Now there are some interesting plants growing there but I don't know what they are. I am not positive they came from the root. Here is link to my album online with pictures of the plant. I am located in Florida if that helps any. Picasa Web Albums - Jo Ann - plant |

Zingiber zerumbet
Sometimes known as shampoo ginger, or pine cone ginger. Try grasping the red cone and pulling up gently. Smell the syrup on your hands. It won't be sticky, but will smell really nice and gingery. Spreads easily. |
