Can you name Mama's houseplant?

Attached is a picture of a beautiful houseplant I inherited when Mama passed away eight years ago. Not only are the leaves varigated, they sometimes have a pinkish tinge or blush to them. She always put it outside in the summer, so I did the same. Several years ago I accidently scorched it, and, sadly, it died. I have been looking for a replacement ever since. Does anyone know what it is or have one I could get a cutting from?

Thanks so much! My daughter also posted the plant on the internet and received the name "devil's backbone." She was able to obtain a small cutting in the mail!
