dianthus

last year I planted some dianthus (pink with white centers) they are the kind with the flat bloom not like the carnation, In another bed i planted some peach colored flowers This year my dianthus (in 1 bed of them) bloomed a brilliant peach color, does this happen often? This did happen to me another time about 15 years ago. If I try to save the seed will they be peach or the original pink color? I have never seen dianthus this color and I have searched the web for them. Thanks for any replies

Please could you post a pic. Peach is a very unusual colour for a dianthus.

Thats what I thought ss. I will post a pic when I go back home sat. they were so bright they allmost look fluoresent
