    I found ths in a bed in my backyard when the snow had melted.* I'm letting it grow to see what it is.

    I am in Northern Illinois.* Anything you can offer would be great!!

    It looks like mullein.

    I have it growing in my garden also.* My son won't let me pull it up because he likes the large fuzzy leaves so we moved it to his garden so he can enjoy it.

    It appears to be Velvet Mullein (Verbascum thapus).* Supposed to have some herbal remedies.
