    Not sure it's a medicinal plant, but it looks like Sansaveria cylindrica.* Your plant may not have as much variegation as these.

    Your plant may spread out if it gets more sun and more age.

    When weeding, the best way to make sure you are removing a weed and not a valuable plant is to pull on it. If it comes out of the ground easily, it is a valuable plant.
