Thread: mystery plant

  1. #1
Some one suggested this was a yellow loosestrife, but I dont think so, and Betty, the lady who gave it to me does not recognize that name. She cannot remember what it is but would recognize the name if I told her. It has been growing taller, no flowers or buds though. It is the only plant in this specific bed that the beatles have NOT ravaged at all. Does anyone know what it might be? Betty said it is a perennial.

Thanks in advance for any help

It's definitely not yellow loosestrife.* Do a google and click on 'Images' and you'll see the leaves are wrong.* It reminds me of Nippon daisy that used to be called Montauk daisy that blooms late summer and often used as a groundcover.

When weeding, the best way to make sure you are removing a weed and not a valuable plant is to pull on it. If it comes out of the ground easily, it is a valuable plant.
