My neighbor has this plant and she doesn't remember what it is. We all love it and need to identify it so we can get some more. Bloomed in the last couple of weeks and seems to spread fairly quickly. Thanks for the help!

Hi Coopiemom,
Looks like one of the groundcover varieties of Campanula aka bellflower.* There are many as you can see from this first link.* With most of them the flowers start out in a bell shape and then open to a star shape.

Here's a picture of just one variety, but you can compare the leaves from this one.

Your pic reminds me of Campanula poscharskyana aka trailing bellflower aka Serbian bellflower.

When weeding, the best way to make sure you are removing a weed and not a valuable plant is to pull on it. If it comes out of the ground easily, it is a valuable plant.
Serbian Bellflower is it, thank you SO much!!!
That's wonderful!!* You are very welcome.* My hubby has given me a couple of different ones as gifts and I shear off the spent flowers and get a second flush of bloom in about 2 to 3 weeks.
Enjoy,
Newt
