A large branch fell of this bush today and I'd like to replace it. It will help to first know what it is!

    Hi Carrielyns,

Looks like my favorite fuschia - Fuschia 'Gartenmeister Bonstedt' aka Gartenmeister fuschia.* I root cuttings in fall and have new plants for the following summer as it's frost tender and won't survive our zone 7 winters outdoors.* Cut off the flowers and make tip cuttings of about 4 sets of leaves.* Cut it from the stem just below the 4th set of leaves.* Remove the bottom two sets of leaves and root in perlite for about a month. Once the roots come out of the bottom of the pot you can plant in soil and you'll have new plants.* You can see how here.* The first picture is what your cuttings should look like.

When weeding, the best way to make sure you are removing a weed and not a valuable plant is to pull on it. If it comes out of the ground easily, it is a valuable plant.
