    Hi Claysaccount,

    Your picture is a bit small, but it appears to be some type of hibiscus.* It's growing in a pot so if it is hibiscus, I suspect it's a tropical one and not a hardy one.

    When weeding, the best way to make sure you are removing a weed and not a valuable plant is to pull on it. If it comes out of the ground easily, it is a valuable plant.
