Has anyone ever heard of a Gardonia? Maybe I am spelling it wrong. It's bloom looks like a Magnolia but smells like a cross between a Magnolia and a Gardenia. I was told its name was Gardonia, but can't find anything with that spelling on the internet.

I have seen a shrub called Gordonia, however, it only had seed pods on so I cannot say if it was scented. Maybe this is what you are looking for.
