Ouch......
I recently purchased a house here in Oregon, and early yhtis spring this plant started to grow. I first thot it was a "melon" of some kind, but as you can see, the fruit is extremely small (no larger then a quarter). The thorns are very sharp and hard. They are not soft. Does anyone know what this plant is? I think I should pull the rest out so as to not let it propogate, but would like to know what it is first.
Thanks

This Buffalo Burr is getting around
banddaddyd, I had (being as it has since been removed) this very plant amidst my garden and it appeared right next to my melon plants. Newt sent me this:
Hi Tall,
So glad to know your garden is doing so well. I think you have an imposter growing next to your watermelon. The one with the thorns looks like buffalo bur. Those thorns are a give away.

What do you think?
I live in north central Texas and you live in Oregon? Man, this thing is traveling! If you go to page 2 of the "What Plant is This" forum, my attached pictures look just like your plant....

Thanks
The link in your response did not work but I will copy it and see if it will that way. As well, I will look at page 2 as soon as I send this. Thanks. Newt and you were right on. The link when pasted in was perfect. I too will be out there this afternoon pulling it out so my puppy does not get into it.
