    Perennial - need help identifying

    Someone said it might be pentsemon, but I'm not sure and I'm not sure what variety. Any help would be appreciated.

    Hi Getthepicture,

    It's often difficult to tell from a picture at such a distance, but I suspect your plant is Penstemon 'Husker Red'. The stems are red, not the flower.

    When weeding, the best way to make sure you are removing a weed and not a valuable plant is to pull on it. If it comes out of the ground easily, it is a valuable plant.

    Thanks for the reply- I'm convinced it's the husker red after seeing several photos of the variety.
