    Please help identify

I've had this houseplant for years but I don't know what it is. I had a baby last year, and need to know if it is toxic. Thanks!

    Hi Marthamc.

Your plant is botanically known as Syngonium. There are many common names with Arrowhead being the most common. There are several different species of this plant with different shaped leaves.

This plant can be toxic if ingested.

When weeding, the best way to make sure you are removing a weed and not a valuable plant is to pull on it. If it comes out of the ground easily, it is a valuable plant.
