    Hi Jeve,

Looks like a Hoya aka wax vine aka wax plant.* You don't say if your grandfather is growing it indoors or outdoors.* I'm guessing it's a houseplant.* You should find this helpful.

When weeding, the best way to make sure you are removing a weed and not a valuable plant is to pull on it. If it comes out of the ground easily, it is a valuable plant.

THANKS, will look further into that type.* It is an indoor plant, and we have taken clippings that have grown well, but not flowered.* THANKS, we have been wondering forever what it was, our grandfather was quite an independent avid indoor gardener, and this is a great memory of him to continue for our next generation!! Thanks.

Jeve, you are very welcome!* Glad I could help.* These plants can often be difficult to get to flower, so be patient.
